Free Summer Concert Series in the Northern Adirondacks |
Support Loon Lake Live!
Loon Lake Live! is about to embark on its 13th year of free chamber music concerts. We are proud to report that the concert series are still made possible largely through community support. Loon Lake Live! seeks to foster the enjoyment of, and respect for, the art of classical chamber music for both the performer and the listener. We are committed to donation only events to encourage maximum participation.
Private donation from generous individuals currently make up over half of our annual operating budget. Loon Lake Live! asks for your help to ensure that our programs can continue to be presented at the highest level possible. Tax deductible contributions may be made at any time by mail to Loon Lake Live! 3705 W Eastman Ave, Denver, CO 80223 or by direct donation at any of our concerts. Remember, your fully tax deductible contribution directly benefits the communities of Franklin and Essex counties by helping Loon Lake Live! provide all presentations free of charge. Any amount would be greatly appreciated. Unless otherwise requested, all donors will receive recognition in the season program and on this web site.
Six good reasons to Support Loon Lake Live!
1.The music making and programming of Loon Lake Live! musicians always reflects artistic excellence.
2. We work to be inclusive in the music we play. Loon Lake Live! regularly features the works of women and other under represented composers. Recent seasons have featured works by Schulamit Ran, Hilary Tann, William Grant Still, York Bowen, and Rebecca Clarke.
3. We work to nurture the next generation. Loon Lake Live! has held workshops in the Saranac Lake Free Library and prior to our concerts. We continue to present the Family Fun series which focuseson sharing classical music in a stimulating environment with North Country youth and their caregivers.
4. We are committed to performing a repertoire that stimulates both the artist and audiences. Loon Lake Live! believes in innovative programming that is accessible to the entire community and is delivered in a welcoming and educational environment.
5. Loon Lake Live! has commissioned and/or premiered several new works during our thirteen years, an activity that stimulates creativity and enriches all our lives. Two of these, Songs of our Time and The Adirondack Suite by John Winn, are featured on our first CD.
6. Loon Lake Live! strives to make strong and lasting connections in the North Country community. Partnerships with local organizations include the Village of Saranac Lake, Saranac Lake Young Arts Association, Historic Saranac Lake, the Loon Lake Homeowners Association, and the Arts Council for the Northern Adirondacks. We have either donated concerts for, or partnered to create concerts with each of the above organizations to help the arts community thrive.
